Just Another Bookworm – 4 stars
Big fan of Morris’ novel Lifeform Three, so I couldn’t preorder this book fast enough. This book is every bit as funny, intelligent, and open-hearted as I expected it to be. She’s a terrific writer with a deft hand for setting, so a travel memoir is a great vehicle, but this book is about more than places. It’s about who we are in the world and with each other. My favorite passages are in the heartbreaking chapter about her childhood home, which falls to shambles after the family who lived in it goes through an emotional tear-down. Highly recommending.
